4 Lessons and Thoughts on The Richest Man in Babylon

Finally done with this book and wanted to talk about it a little. After about 3 weeks of reading i realize now why i was meant to read this book. There are many things in this life one must understand. The first is Love, the second is the understanding of ones self as well as the understanding of life. The last thing is the understanding of economics, or money for that matter.

After many week of reading this book I found fours very important lessons. This won't be stated in chronicle oder being that i understood the principles should be just used, and not necessarily in a particular order. Of course feel free to pick up the book at your local book store or check out the Youtube link at the end of this article which has the full book Via Audio.

#Working Hard

First understanding that working hard is very important and will bring you  the most joy when you understand how to do it. This means don't have to work hard all your life, but you do need to understand that without the hard work you will likely not have the foundation needed to really start off making the money you want. This is a simple principle that people often do not understand.

#Value Your Money

Next be sure to understand the value of money which mean saving and paying yourself. Third is be willing to invest in yourself and in your family. You cannot just spend as you wish, you must understand to pay yourself first before others, it is not an easy task but minimum 10% of what you are paid goes to yourself. (understand paying your self means savings that meant for reasons such as investments and long term growth)

#LEARN and Keep LEARNING

Fourth is Learn, Learn, Learn. Learning is what will help you move forward, this means you taking the time to properly engage with the right people so that in the future you can make proper decisions. It maybe the harder lesson or principle due to the fact you won't know if your learning the proper techniques unless you have the people mentoring you.  Also understand the reason why things work one way verses another.

#Humbleness

Last be humble, help others and be willing to be helped, this means taking the advice of one who already knows. This person can be younger or even older than you, because of that you may find it difficult to listen to there advice, but take it as one of those very rare opportunities to get a free piece to golden knowledge that can help you create a golden castle.
