Loving yourself is Loving others

Is it true that you love other? Do you really believe that your love is for others? Do you know how to love yourself? These questions can be difficult to answer and for me it took years to understand the difference between giving love and receiving love. This phenomena is actually not studied by people. Often we are taught of love through people like our parents or through things like media, such as t.v and radio. But there is a little more to understanding love, it can become a science but for now lets think of the philosophy.

What is Love?

I could pull out my webster dictionary and tell you what it says in there, but i will just tell you what i've learned it to be in past couple years. To me love is the affection shown of desires that come from within someone. These desires often reflect the want for someone to have the best. Is that really all there is to it though? Im sure some of you readers are shaking your head no, well your right love is so much more complicated. Each person on earth may need a different kind of love, some need you to be proud of them other need you to relate to them and you even find people longing for the love where people do things for them. This complexity shows that love is more than a simple definition, love is a verb, noun and maybe even an adjective. How then do you understand love?

Understanding Love

Well it a bit easier than you may think, because Love is actually a muscle that you exercise and understand over time how it works. This muscle though must first be the foundation of loving you as a person. Before understanding how to love others you must understand how to love yourself. This may seem a little selfish, but i assure you this is the start of a wonderful understanding of the art of loving others. This foundation points you out to being more aware of what makes you happy, and as well as understanding that the doing the right thing or the loving thing is not always easy. Often loving yourself is hard. An example or loving yourself is to take care of your body, this include exercising if it is possible and as well as eating a well. This means cleaning your home as well as not abusing your body. This also means knowing your limits and not doing the excessive. Loving yourself can now lead to understanding mental and emotional parts of who you are. All of this and more helps to truly bring you closer to love.

Loving others

Once you understand yourself you will now be able to give the time to understanding others. The research you've done on yourself will help you to understand that otter's are complicated and that you must take your time to understand them. This as well will bring you closer to the creation of empathy, this will be the key, this key of empathy will likely help you to create a connection with that friend, family member or even that one co-worker. From here on end your connection to nature and other will become so much stronger eventually creating the strong love that sets the path for loving yourself and loving others.

Thank you,
